It’s hot, it’s humid, and all we want to do is sit at home with the air-con turned up full blast. Yes, the heady Hong Kong summer is with us once again. But don’t waste the next couple of months bitching about how it’s way too hot; get out and do something. Here’s a guide to a few activities to help you chill out.

Make a Splash

Seeing as we’re already soaked from staggering around in the humidity, you might as cool down by getting wet. Whether you’re at a beach, a pool at a watersports center or on the open ocean, these are the best ways in town to get soaked from head to toe.

Public Pools

Suspend your disbelief about public swimming pools; it’s not all floating band-aids and stray pubes. Some of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department pools really have excellent facilities and are a cheap and cheerful way to cool down right in the middle of town. A full list of pools is available at www.lcsd.gov.hk, but here are a few of our favorites
