I’ve been smacking myself over and over again because I had no idea before about this fabulous chocolate shop, chà·ke·li. It’s located at the yè shanghai in Pacific Place in Admiralty, and is also run by restaurant group Elite Concepts. The shop sells pralines with flavors that pair different varieties of cocoa with different types of Chinese tea. For example, “Flowerpassion” is a mix of jasmine tea and 40.5-percent cocoa from Ghana; Britishaztec (frigging cheesy name, we know) is Earl Grey paried with 66-percent cocoa from Mexican; while Nishiocha is Japanese matcha (green tea) with white chocolate of 37-percent cocoa. I rushed down to the shop to get myself a box of goodies and allow me to say two words—frigging yum! Shop 332, Pacific Place, Admiralty, 2918-0093. Winnie Yeung
