Reading Time:4 minutes
Why you can trust SCMP

The sun’s out, it’s humid as hell, and if it weren’t for our social mores, we’d all be trying to keep cool by wandering around in our underpants. What better time to go on a junk trip? But arranging one is a daunting task if you’ve never done it before. Thank god we’ve gone and done all the legwork for you.
Get a Junk
The first step, of course, is to get your hands on a boat. Fortunately, there are types to suit every size of pocket, from the fully catered extravaganza, to a no-frills but adequately seaworthy vessel.
The Path of Least Resistance
The easiest option. Just pay up and ship out with all the food and booze included.
