Filling the void is one of my principles.
I was in medical school and there were only a few psychiatrists. So I chose psychiatry as my specialization.
The word “sex” captures all attention. That’s how powerful sex is.
I show up in newspapers and magazines more than other medical specialists, and the reason is simple – I talk about sex.
Theories work like chains – they supplement each other and no single one is perfect. Even Newton’s theory of gravity is not perfect. You drop an apple – it falls. A theory doesn’t need to be perfect to be applicable.
Sex can be a defense mechanism. You love a rich guy for his money, but you don’t want to think of yourself as money-hungry. Therefore, you develop a sexual longing or even love for that person. Problem solved.
A human is born with a ring of undifferentiated desire. It is only later on that this desire is differentiated into the desires of sex, attachment, security, etc.
Sexual gratification doesn’t always involve the phallus.
Babies masturbate. In fact, monkeys, birds and other life forms masturbate, too. You have a desire and you gratify it. People call it sex, but you can call it something else.
Sex is power. Those who procreate most win.
In the animal world, the alpha male has the greatest ability to procreate. The ability to procreate gives power to a species – as a species proliferates, it dominates its niche.
To control people, one must control sex.
Religion is an institution of power. They rule through the idea of supernatural powers – and the doctrines they lay down always have very specific proscriptions and sexual morals about sex.
By suppressing our sexual desire, we lose some of our power or productivity because energy is wasted on suppression.
The world is mainly made of a country called “the West.”
I don’t think the West is particularly open about sex – the Virgin Mary and monogamy are very western concepts
Retaining one’s virginity was not a particularly important issue in China back in the Hang or Tang Dynasties.
The West takes the lead in viewing homosexuality as a sin. During the Victorian Era, they chopped the heads off homosexuals.
In China, during the Cultural Revolution, when people could be penalized for virtually anything,  people were not particularly condemned for being gay – homosexuals were simply seen as “mobbish.”
Monogamy is against human nature.
People are forced to have their desires satisfied from a single person. When it doesn’t happen, which is usually the case, people fight.
Today, we know 50 percent of marriages end in divorce. The other 50 percent are either unsatisfied with their marriages or are newlyweds.
Advice for a satisfying marriage? Get lucky.
Personality and communication skills count, too...but without luck, nothing lasts. 
Ideally, people should be allowed to have various combinations of sexual partners, be it one wife with three husbands or the other way round – as long as it involves mutual consent.
People support monogamy because they believe it is human nature to be jealous. But would it be better to teach people not to be jealous, instead of just devising a system to get around jealousy?
Greed is human nature, too. Should you lock your door or should you educate people not to steal?
A lack of sexual outlets is hazardous to your health.
Prostitution in the West started out as an act of kindness. It was akin to doctors dispensing medicine. The temple ministry arranged prostitutes to have sex with people and in return they donated money back to the church.
Sadism and masochism is more about an arousal deficiency rather than violence. 
These people have difficulties being aroused by erotic means. They need to be aroused in other ways, for example getting scared or angry and then channeling that arousal into sexual drives.
Your desire for sex rises whenever you are angry, scared or excited. You can make yourself really happy to increase your sexual desire but that is pretty hard.
Men are visual; women are tactile.
Both sexes are equally pornographic in their sexual fantasies. Men imagine graphical scenes; women imagine how they would be touched. It is because society places a romantic value on being touched that a woman’s fantasies seem more “virtuous.”
