Taught by a Pro
Photogenix (9451-4138, www.photogenix.hk), which was founded by Birdgit Vagani and Keith Nash, now holds classes taught by Graham Uden, twice awarded “Photographer of the Year” by the Foreign Correspondents Club. The people who sign up for the courses at Photogenix are usually within the 25-45-year-old range and they come from all walks of life.

“We provide two courses,” says Bridget. “One is in the studio and the other takes place outside somewhere in Hong Kong. The courses help people familiarize themselves with the functions of their cameras and the composition of great photographs.” Uden says, “We teach people not to be intimidated by the thousands of different functions on their cameras. If you can become familiar with the main ones, you can be on your way to taking great pictures.”
