Hey guyz!! I’m on my summer holiday, getting tan at the beach and I just thought I’d write about global warming a little bit. At the school dance I met this cute guy named Josh and he’s really into saving the Earth so I’ve been hearing a lot about melting ice caps and stuff, but you know what? I’ve probably spent my, like, whole life with global warming and I think it’s been pretty great!
Let’s think about all the great things I can do because of global warming. First, there’s tans. I am really even this year (see 1,189 photos in my “Beach” album). Second, there’s designer bags. I just love those handbags that are about being eco-friendly – especially because my maid Alona queued up and got me six. Now I can be eco-friendly every day of the week! (Except for Sundays because that’s the day dad lets me drive the SUV.)
Third, there’s aircons. Think about it: If it weren’t so hot outside we wouldn’t have so many aircons in this city. Think about when Alona was waiting in line for the new Harry Potter book outside Page One. If there wasn’t any aircon then she woulda been too tired when she got home to cook dinner before she went to bed. Duh. And can you imagine doing the first floor of IFC without aircon? We’d have to use way more deodorant, and everyone knows those spray cans are bad for the ozone.
Finally, global warming is totally like this bandwagon everybody jumps on. Like, I was going to go to the Live Earth concert in Japan. But as SOON as I posted the event on Facebook, Ashleigh bought five tickets. Whatever, it’s like, I know she doesn’t really care about the Earth, and she doesn’t even know who that Alan Gore guy is – she just wants what I have. That makes me think that like 99.9 percent of people who say they care only actually care about what other people think that they care about. It’s so superficial.
Anywayz, I gotta go get my nail art fixed now. I just want to say I know I’m sounding really negative here, and I think global warming is going to hurt the planet OVERALL (it says so in that movie), and I think we need to save the Earth and stuff, but people need to get a clue and stop talking and start doing. Like how I’m going to let my nails air dry here instead of using the blow dryer, even though it’s totally inconvenient.
