Fare Thee Well, Crappy Summer!
Summer’s on the wane again, and with it we must bid Farewell to all the fun we had and all the stuff we did
Summer’s on the wane again, and with it we must bid
Farewell to all the fun we had and all the stuff we did—
From junking to boozing and dropping iPads
To posing as the Eurasians in those luxury property ads
Gone once more are college kids doing jelly shots
Staggering ‘round Wan Chai and drinking lots and lots
They’re heading back to uni after their long vacations
Leaving pervy older men to their DT hallucinations
And typhoon season’s over too, gone without a whimper
We’ve had several sick days but it didn’t calm our temper
A summer without one measly typhoon eight warning!
Here’s a signal we hoist—F you, global warming
We can put our picket signs away, and our hiking boots too
As Tai Long Wan no longer needs rescuing by us and you
The bulldozers have been sent home, peace is again restored
Now it can once again go back to being lovingly ignored
At least we have our mementoes of summer 2010
An empty fro-yo cup, an “Act Now” commemorative pen,
A jerkoff friend’s iPhone full of your blurry bikini snaps
Who are we kidding? Summer 2010 was totally crap
Welcome September’s party season! Girls secure invites
By uploading Facebook pictures in black dresses, short and tight
And if they get rejected from that new club’s cocktail soiree
They can just go prowl Wyndham for some fresh meat anyway
