Renowned local composer, Mark Lui
Mark Lui is a renowned local composer who works around the clock in his studio MOON. He shares his lessons in life and tells Janet Leung about his pathological pursuit of perfection.

I was lazy as a student and was sent to boarding school in the UK.
I was the top student. I was proud of being the Head of House at school. I am Chinese and it was a British boarding school. It really says something.
Suffering was a large part of my cadet training. Some “gweilo” hit me with a ball on purpose once. I complained to my teachers but no one gave a damn.
If you’ve got a problem, deal with it. Fight for yourself when someone steps over the line.
Don’t challenge or judge a person upon first sight. You can never tell who he/she really is.
Never hurt a man’s ego. Never ever cross his bottom line. Never.
