With a giant projector screen on the back wall and a huge selection of Cantopop, Mandopop and English hits from Britney Spears to Bob Dylan, it’s the perfect place to air out your voice before spring. Or just sit and try one (or several) of the varied and innovative specialty cocktails. The bartender recommends a particular purple concoction of lavendar and tequila. Hear the word "karaoke" and think of cutie-pop and embarrassing green frogs? Not at Dope. Tiny and tucked away, this place fits about 30 people max and it’s first and foremost a quiet place to chill out with friends. A massive projector screen covers the back wall and if you’re sick of singing “Hotel California” and “More Than Words,” you’ll love the selection of English-only pop, rock and hip-hop here. Sometimes movies are run on the screen, depending on the whim of the customer, and you can also rent out the entire place for $5,000.
