Gloucester Luk Kwok Hotel undergoes complete transformation
The oldest hotel on Hong Kong Island, the Gloucester Luk Kwok Hotel, has undergone a complete transformation. Famously known as the setting for the novel “The World of Suzie Wong,” the hotel has been meticulously refitted to reflect true home comfort. Now equipped with high-speed internet access and a host of TV channels, each room is designed with the needs of today’s guests in mind. That’s not all that’s up with the hotel: Mr. M.A. Wing Tak, an executive chef at the hotel’s Canton Room, just won a gold medal at the “Gourmet Master Chefs 2010” and the Gold with Distinction Award in the Best of the Best Culinary Competition organized by HKTB.
