Tea Time
I just LURVE these fragrance-inspired tea sets that keep popping up everywhere—mostly because it gives me an excellent excuse to eat more cake. The latest collabo is at MO bar, which has teamed up with fragrant French company Guerlain to launch a high tea inspired by the “Les Ors” collection. Expect to see three tiers of rich, indulgent, sweet and savory treats in festive shades of gold, such as the passionfruit and white chocolate mousse, zabaglione sponge cake and clementine and walnut macarons. The set comes at $325 per head, plus a Guerlian Christmas gift set and a glass of champagne, or $200 without. Oh, and did I mention there’s a cupcake buffet? I’m there.
Available every afternoon in December at MO Bar, The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, 15 Queen’s Rd. Central, 2132-0077

Beautiful Boxes
Tip-top of my Christmas wish list this year is one of these smashing coffrets from Elemis. This UK-based beauty brand has established its Christmas gift sets as required stuffing in and any self-respecting beauty maven’s stocking—not least because there are massive savings to be had; most sets offer at least $1,000 off the published price. If you’re a fan of the brand’s skincare line, there’s “Revealing Radiance” (purple, $1,380), which has all its best tri-enzyme, anti-aging products in a cute travel bag. Or for bath and body babes, there’s the exotically scented “Exotic Spa Secrets” (red, $980). And as if you needed any more encouragement, if you spend over $3,000 on the xmas line at Elemis Day Spa, you’ll be treated to a free Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial.

Payot Forward
‘Twas my old high school’s fair last weekend, so I decided to return to the heung ha (that’s Sha Tin, in case you’re wondering) for an afternoon of snack stalls, catching up with old teachers and eavesdropping on TMI teenage conversations. Coincidentally, the alma mater is just a hop, skip and a jump away from the Hyatt Regency, Sha Tin, who’ve been asking me to try out their newly launched, exclusive line of Payot facial treatments. Created by Dr. Nadia Payot, the facials make use of face-massage techniques that aim to reduce fine lines and increase skin firmness and elasticity. I went for the 90-minute Intense Moisture Ritual ($1,200), which featured a lovely scalp and arm massage while waiting for the gentle moisturizing masks to take effect. I left looking and feeling supremely relaxed and recharged. Definitely a must-try when you’re next in the area.
