Hong Kong, Fair Isle, you fill our hearts with love,
And fill our lungs with exhaust. But that’s fine
We still want you. For besides the view, we
Know this is where you go to make a dime.

Tho’ homes we all sigh, are priced far too high,
A mere glimpse of the skyline fills one with glee.
On the rare day where we spy a blue sky,
How fine to be drunk on a junk in the sea.

Tho’ riding the train, it drives us insane
When we’re mashed against a stranger’s strong pong,
But really, it would be vain to complain—
Treat yourself to dumplings at a dai pai dong!

So Hong Kong, you’re not quite perfect just yet,
But you’re the best we’re ever going to get.
