Street Talk: Stephen Chan

A team of 23 Hong Kong counselors and volunteers spent five days in Japan—specifically, Hanamaki in northern Sendai—to offer emotional support to victims of the devastating March 11 earthquake and tsunami. They brought with them thousands of origami cranes to symbolize wishes coming true. Stephen Chan, a former ambulance worker for the Fire Services Department, shares with Emily Wu what he gained from the relief work.
