Tournedos Rossini at The Press Room

Available only until the end of July, The Press Room will now be serving Tournedos Rossini.

They tell me that like I'm supposed to know what that is...

Turns out its a timeless French dish comprised of tender filet mignon topped with celeriac puree and served with potato rosti, wild mushrooms and foie gras, purportedly created for Italian composer Gioachino Rossini sometime in the 18th century.

It's like eating a piece of history...and if the Tournedos Rossini ends up not floating your boat, I highly recommend the pear tart for dessert. It will change your life.
