1. GIG → Red Hot Chili Peppers. Prepare to be Californicated this August--the legendary LA rock band with a career spanning more than two decades is finally making its Hong Kong debut. Winning seven Grammys and selling over 60 million albums worldwide, the band is an act that you simply can't miss for the world. Their first studio album in five years, "I'm with You," is set to be released on Aug 30.

2. GIG → James Blunt. The English pop rock singer-songwriter swept charts all over the world back in 2005 with his romantic hit, "You're Beautiful." Following his third album, "Some Kind of Trouble," the balladeer will perform live in Hong Kong.

3. DANCE → Swan Lake. If the steamy makeout scene between Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman in "Black Swan" stimulated your interest in ballet, see the original Swan Lake in the Hong Kong Ballet's premiere performance for the new season. Watch master choreographers Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov interpret the classic ballet, set to the tune of Tchaikovsky's most famous compositions. Starring guest performer Robert Curran, a principal dancer from the Australian Ballet, as Prince Siegfried.Tickets are now on sale and we're betting that they'll go fast. Various showtimes including matinee performances.

4. GIG → Simple Plan. Hailing from Montréal, the pop-punk outfit is returning to Hong Kong after rocking out at the Live N Loud festival three years ago. For some nostalgic tunes such as "Addicted" and "When I'm Gone," or new tracks from their fourth album "Get Your Heart On!" (slated to release on June 21), don't miss their live concert.

5. GIG → Friendly Fires. The Mercury Music Prize-nominated British indie rock/dance-punk trio exploded on to the scene in 2008 with the release of their self-titled debut album, which featured standout singles "Jump in the Pool" and "Paris." Following their hot new sophomore album released last month, "Pala," the band will be making their Hong Kong debut.

6. ART → Made in Britain. On the third and final stop of this exhibition's China tour, this show presents a comprehensive collection of some of UK's most exciting contemporary artists. With 150 works from the British Council collection, the 35-artist lineup includes winners of the prestigious Turner Prize and big names such as Damien Hirst, Michael Landy, Sarah Lucas and Gavin Turk among up and comers.
