A boutique owner says...
"It's all about the accessories you have," says Christing Chang of ChristingC boutique (3/F Kai Kwong House, 13 Wyndham Street, Central) and well-known fashion blog, Fashion Hedonism. "Go somewhere like Pottinger Street and see what type of head gear they have. You can base your costume around whatever you find."

"Dressing as a celebrity is always easy," says Chang. She suggests people who have some sort of accessory they're known for like Paris Hilton and her small dog. Katie Kenny
Costume shop owners say...
"Men should go as cowboys," suggests King at Remy Fashions. All you have to do is put on a plaid shirt, a pair of jeans, some boots (or leather shoes if you're lazy) and a cowboy hat. For the ladies, she recommends dressing up as a pirate. Dig up a white button-down and a black skirt from your closet, then just buy a corset and a black tri-cornered hat—which Remy Fashions stocks, just in case you were wondering.
