UCLA Animation Workshop To Show Outstanding Selection At Festival

Microwave returns this year with new short films and screenings jam packed full of imagination and wit, including more experimental works of the non-conventional sort.

The UCLA Animation Workshop will be featuring its Outstanding Selection of UCLA Animation Shorts on 19th November, showcasing to the public some of the best body of work from the well-established HK animation school.

On 20th November there will be a screening of Heaven + Earth + Joe Davis, which documents one artist’s pursuit for answers to philosophical questions on life and the universe around us (encrypting poetry into the eyeballs of a fly anyone?). Davis works with archival film, thousands of photographs and years of shooting around the world.

Finally, selected shorts from Siggraph Computer Animation Festival will be shown on 25th November (5pm-6:30pm) and on 26th November (2:30pm-4pm). Afterwards you can go to Klik! Animation Dutch Delight, who will screen shorts from creative Holland, from 5pm to 6:30pm.
