The Consulate General of Italy in Hong Kong has done chefs all over the world a favor by collaborating with the National Chamber of Italian Fashion to create an all-new Made In Italy chef’s jacket. You know the familiar double breasted plain-collar uniforms that any chef who cares about his craft chooses to wear these days?
Well, these highly prized (and French) Bragard jackets are about to face some stiff competition. Renowned haute couture designer Lorenzo Riva has created a swanky new polka dot-inspired chef’s suit—revealed for the first time at the Italian Cuisine and Wine World Summit held at Kowloon Shangri-La at the beginning of the month.
Details are still murky and nobody’s telling me where you can procure one of these suits just yet—but keep an eye out if you’re an appearance-heeding chef who’s looking for a change. Remember, you heard it here first.
