It’s about time for our fake Chief Executive Election candidates to gear up the magical pretend-machines and act like they’re campaigning for your vote. Of course, they’re not—because you can’t vote—but we’ve decided to throw out a few slogan suggestions anyway to liven up the political atmosphere.

Please Pretend to Vote for Me

I’ll pretend to campaign, you pretend it matters. I’ll pretend to be elected, you pretend to be surprised. I’ll pretend to run Hong Kong, and you pretend everything is OK.

I’ll Love Hong Kong

I’m in this race because I love Hong Kong. In fact, don’t tell anyone, but I really, really love you, Hong Kong. And I’ll continue to love you from the highest office in the land. In fact, I’ll love you right here, right now, on this desk. I don’t care. Hong Kong baby, when I look at you, I just can’t control myself. But let’s just keep this between you and me. I’ll act like I don’t care about Hong Kong through my policy decisions, and no one will be the wiser…

Change. It’s a word people use in political slogans. I too can use it in my slogan.
