Speaking of all things French, there’s a new bistro-diner set to liven up Central’s dining scene. Brasserie de L’ile (4 Arbuthnot Rd., Central, 2147-2389) is a spacious resto on Arbuthnot Road that comes with an alfresco terrace. Couples won’t be barred from making romantic rendezvous here, but the restaurant markets itself more as a family-friendly, fuss-free, not-too-pricy place to be. Northern French bistro classics like moule-frites (mussels and fries) are offered here—in 800g portions for $258 no less, so big groups are clearly the way to go. Brasserie de L’ile is still sizzling new so not much more can be said, but remember to watch for our review in the coming weeks.
