Even our bulging Christmas issue last week didn’t have enough space to accommodate the myriad specials there still are out there, so I’m going to do another quick roundup here.
Ritz-Carlton (International Commerce Centre, 1 Austin Rd. West, West Kowloon, 2263-2270) will be whipping up a storm at both Tin Lung Heen and Tosca with generous six-course menus at generous prices from Christmas Eve to Boxing Day (at $1,288 to $2,688 per head). I’m not really sure about the menu—maybe the guys at the Ritz want to keep it a surprise—but what I do know is there’ll be special Santa Claus appearances at both venues.
Meanwhile, Sino Group of Hotels (including Royal Pacific, Hong Kong Gold Coast, City Garden and Island Pacific) will be racking up goodwill points by baking special Christmas cakes to give to selected participants at various charitable foundations (Chi Heng and Operation Smile included)—but what’s in it for you? Well, they’ll be serving festive lunch and dinner buffets from $300 and up at each of their hotels from December 24 to 27.
Hooray (P502, World Trade Center, 280 Gloucester Rd., Causeway Bay, 2895-0885) has an irresistible buy-three-get-one-free buffet dinner deal for early-bird bookers who reserve a table before December 15.
