Club Filipino’s Annual Christmas Event

Everyone in The Philippines looks forward to Christmas. In fact, Filipinos love Christmas so much they start decorating their homes and playing Christmas carols in September.

The official celebration starts on December 16, when Simbang Gabi (nightly mass) starts. If you manage to go for all nine nights of mass, your Christmas wish will supposedly be granted. Christmas in the Philippines doesn’t stop when New Year's Eve rolls around- in fact, it goes on until the first Sunday of January (?!), which is the Feast of the Three Kings.

Feel like a king (or queen) yourself and celebrate Christmas Filipino-style with Club Filipino’s annual Christmas event on December 10 at the Hong Kong Football Club.

This year’s theme is Tuxes and Tiaras, so you’ll be sure to spot members of the Filipino community (other nationalities are welcome too!) dressed to the nines.

Tickets are only $588, and that includes a Christmas buffet, raffle prizes, a live band and performances from famous dance groups such as the Oasis Dancers (HK) and the Cosmic Dancers (India). Filipinos know how to get down, so be sure to be ready for some serious sayawan (dancing).

Some of the premyos (prizes) up for grabs:
• One year’s subscription to The Filipino Channel (perfect if you’re homesick)
• Round trip tickets to Manila (business AND economy class)
• One night’s stay at L’Hotel South for two (complimentary breakfast included)
