This award-winning app not only turns your Android phone into a mobile box office and introduces you to the largest community of film buffs in Hong Kong, but it also allows you to view screening times, buy tickets from over 40 cinemas (with its one-of-a-kind, real-time seating plan), browse reviews and share comments. On top of all that, it’s free.

Open Rice

Introducing the most comprehensive Hong Kong foodie database, with over 18,000 restaurants and 500,000 reviews. Simply enter your current location and the tastiest restaurants nearby will be revealed. You’ll also be able to enjoy over 100 discount offers (including ready-to-use mobile coupons). Quite a popular app recently, especially since some artists also share their video clips. You can also try your own hand at (really) short films and film your own 15 second video to share with the world.

Mark Six App
