Top Ten Art Galleries

Hong Kong has long since shed its reputation of being some sort of cultural wasteland in the international arts front. Saamlung Gallery

Reputable and renowned art curator Robin Peckham has masterminded a success in this relatively new full-service gallery. According to Peckham, Saamlung fills a niche that Hong Kong had been sorely lacking prior to its arrival: an internationally oriented, independently operated art resource. The gallery’s success so far is a testament to the management team behind it and their discerning artistic taste.

Osage Gallery

Not strictly a gallery, the organization Osage Sigma does event-oriented, multi-sensory-exhibition-style presentations of contemporary art media—sometimes live, sometimes interactive. It’s a little of what Hong Kong’s art scene was once lacking. Osage Gallery is located in Central, but Sigma events take place anywhere.

Ben Brown Fine Arts

This high-end gallery has a sister in London and operates under strict standards of sophistication. It’s safe to say that Ben Brown has never failed to satisfy even the pickiest of Hong Kong’s art connoisseurs. Recently renovated, if you’ve been before it’s certainly worth another gander.
