Tech Rumors and Releases: iPad Mini, Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini and the Sony Hybrid Ultrabook
Rumors of the highly anticipated new iPad have been circulating online for over a month now. The latest news is that the new iPad device will be released Tuesday. Here's the scoop on the most talked about gadgets this month.

At Apple's event yesterday, Tim Cook introduced the iPad mini. The device has a 7.9 inch screen and weighs a mere 0.68lbs. It has a 5 megapixel iSight camera, HD video recording and FaceTime that works on both Wi-Fi and Cellular. The iPad mini runs on the A5 Chip and just like the iPhone 5, it has Siri, iOS 6 and the new Lightning connector. Like previous iPad’s, the iPad mini has a 10 hour battery life.The mini device comes in black or white in 16GB, 32GB or 64GB models. Apple has also created a smart cover for the iPad mini that comes in six different colors.
The iPad mini (Wi-Fi) will be available in Hong Kong from next week! Pre-order opens online on Friday 26th October and are available in stores from November 2nd. The iPad mini (Wi-Fi + Cellular) will be available in late November.
As well as introducing the iPad mini, Apple also released the fourth generation iPad with Retina Display, a new iMac, Mac mini and the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display.
Fourth Generation iPad
The fourth generation iPad has the new A6X chip as seen in the iPhone 5 providing the best graphics and processing power on any of Apple’s products. Similar in design to the third generation iPad, this new iPad has a 10 hour battery life, 9.7-inch Retina display and FaceTime HD camera. This iPad also uses the new Lightning connector and Apple says that the Wi-Fi performance is much better than previous models especially for the cellular version which uses the new LTE technology.
Pre-orders for the fourth generation iPad will also start this Friday in Hong Kong and will be available in stores on November 2nd.
