Bangkok Airways Adds Hong Kong-Koh Samui Flights
In an effort to attract more Hong Kong visitors to the Thai island, Bangkok Airways increases flights between the two destinations to twice daily.

Getting to Koh Samui, every Hongkonger’s favorite beach getaway, just got a little easier. Starting December 1, Bangkok Airways will increase their service between Hong Kong and the Thai island, offering two flights every day of the week. As the only airline that flies direct from Hong Kong to Koh Samui (because who likes layovers in Bangkok?), these additional routes give people with limited vacation time and inflexible schedules greater access to all the diving, snorkeling and Full Moon Parties that the island has to offer.
Mark your calendars with this new daily flight schedule: PG876 leaves Hong Kong at 8:45am (you’ll be hitting the beach by lunchtime), while PG873 departs Koh Samui at 5:25pm, giving you plenty of time to recover for the work week ahead.
Koh Samui is a popular destination for Hongkongers, so now it’s even less of a hassle to get away for a long (or short) weekend. Little-known fact: Bangkok Airways owns the Koh Samui airport, and so flights tend to be pricy because of their dominance serving that destination. Let’s just hope that the increase in flights spells cheaper fares, too.
