Dear Mr. Know-It-All,
When I moved here a few years ago I thought it would be fun to tattoo the Chinese characters of “Hong Kong” on my back, but I’ve since realized that they in fact mean completely different things. As such I am looking to get them safely removed. Do you know of any places where I can get this done quickly?

Well, I can’t say I feel too sorry for you at all. You can get your tattoo removed at Bioscor (23/F, Crawford House, 70 Queen’s Rd. Central, 2810-9018, www.bioscor.com.hk), which offers laser removals. A black palm-sized tattoo would probably require five visits, but by the sounds of things your tattoo seems to be a lot bigger than that. Sucks to be you! It’s by appointment only, so be sure to ask exactly how many treatments it takes. Otherwise, the Hong Kong Baptist Hospital Skin and Laser Centre (2/F, Block B, Hong Kong Baptist Hospital, 222 Waterloo Rd., Kowloon Tong, 2338-5394) also offers tattoo removals.
