My ceiling keeps turning black due to the wetness after turning off the air-conditioner, but none of my friends have this problem. Why me? Please give me cleaning advice, and is there any particular type of ceiling paint I can choose for my remodeling next year?

Another unwitting victim of black mold! Weird that you didn’t ask me this in the summer though, because Hong Kong is currently bone-dry and freezing. The simple answer is a basic solution of bleach and water. Use it several times because mold can get ingrained into plaster. As for ceiling paint that can combat mold, try Nippon Water-based Emulsion Paint, available at Beauty Town Materials Co. (G/F, 11 Swatow St., Wan Chai, 2332-2778). You should also run a dehumidifier regularly to keep condensation buildup at bay.
