Blur Set to Perform at AsiaWorld-Expo In May
The four-piece alternative rock band is set to take to the stage at AsiaWorld-Expo for a one-night-only performance on May 6. The prolific band, with dozens of hits under their belt, is one of the most iconic groups in the Britpop genre.

Consisting of singers Graham Coxon and Damon Albarn (who play guitar and keyboard, respectively), the band also includes Alex James on bass and Dave Rowntree on drums.
Since its formation in 1988—then known as Seymour—it has headlined countless festivals and high-profile events, including the Olympics’ closing ceremony in London in 2012. It has also enjoyed recognition from within the music industry for their contribution over the years, including five Brit Awards and a Grammy nomination.
While frontman Coxon told ContactMusic.com last week that Blur currently has no plans to record new material, the band will be performing hits from their decades-long career, including 1994’s “Parklife” (watch video above) as well as “Song 2” (below) from 1997. Woo hoo.
Ticket prices range from $480 for seats and $680-880 for standing slots, available at www.hkticketing.com, K11 Select and Tom Lee Music outlets citywide from February 25 onwards.
