The Smashing Pumpkins Live in Hong Kong This Summer
Widely known for their music diversity and guitar-heavy sounds, American alternate rock quartet The Smashing Pumpkins is confirmed to make their visit to Hong Kong for a one-night-only performance on August 13 at AsiaWorld-Expo.

Led by founder-slash-frontman Billy Corgan, current lineup also includes guitarist Jeff Schroeder, drummer Mike Byrne and bassist Nicole Fiorentino. Since their formation in band members’ native Chicago in 1988, The Smashing Pumpkins has accumulated over 30 million album sales, receiving multi-platinum sales as with the album “Siamese Dream” in 1993 as well as 1995’s “Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness.”
The group has received due recognition upon its return in 2007—the album “Zeitgeist” was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and debuted at number two in Billboard 200 and ranked top ten internationally.
Having recently began their world tour, which is set to take place over almost half a year, Corgan and his bandmates have also begun producing their new album, reported by New York-based music magazine “Spin” this week. The album is expected to be released in early 2014.
The Smashing Pumpkins’ AsiaWorld-Expo tickets prices range from $580-$780 with all standing slots, available at www.hkticketing.com from April 2 onwards.
