I don’t want to buy a secondhand laptop, but would like to sell mine. In addition, I would like to also sell a flat screen TV, the sound of which is now a bit dodgy. Where can I go to do this? Are there shops that buy secondhand goods? I live in Sheung Wan.

I’ve actually answered this question about a hundred times now, but since you asked so nicely, I’ll repeat this again: there are various areas in Hong Kong known for having an abundance of tech gadgets of all kinds on offer, including Mong Kok, Wan Chai and Sham Shui Po. You’ll find plenty of secondhand computer stores in all those areas that will buy your goods, depending on their condition. Malls riddled with computer and TV shops include 298 Computer Zone (298 Hennessy Rd., Wan Chai), the Wan Chai Computer Centre (130 Hennessy Rd., Wan Chai) and the Golden Computer Arcade (G/F, 146-152 Fok Wa St., Sham Shui Po), where you can haggle your heart out to try to get the most cash for your laptop and TV. Don’t say I never help you with anything.
