Consisting of Mike Shinoda, Chester Bennington, Rob Bourdon, Brad Delson, Dave Farrell and Joe Hahn, the nu-metal American rock band became rapidly successful after their debut album “Hybrid Theory” in 2000. Since then, they have gone from strength to strength, able to adjust constantly to the ever-changing music scene. The band is best known for hits such as “In the End” and “Crawling,” and vocalist Mike Shinoda’s effortless rapping, alongside Chester Bennington’s rock-inspired vocals.

The band’s latest album, “Living Things” sold over 220,000 copies in the first week and hit number one in over 20 countries. In total, they have sold over 50 million albums worldwide and have become a pivotal influence in their genre.

In an interview with online magazine Complex.com last year, Shinoda explained, “We’ve got six guys with drastically different tastes in music, and we’re always feeding each other different stuff. And that stuff is just moving from one guy to the other, and it ends up influencing the music. It’s manifested itself in what we write and what we record.”

The band is going to donate US$1 of every ticket sold at the concert to charity Music For Relief, in aid of disaster recovery.
