Mail Thief

At around 6am, a 46-year-old man steals mail from a To Kwa Wan building. At least four mailboxes are broken into. The police find three letters belonging to residents and a small amount of drugs inside his bag, and they are investigating to see if the man is taking the letters to a fake credit card syndicate. The man has a dragon tattoo on his left arm and a Hello Kitty tattoo on his right.

At around 3am, a woman notices an 11-year-old boy sleeping in a McDonald’s near a Kwun Tong public housing estate. When no one comes to pick him up after two hours, she calls the police. Neighbors say the boy had been sleeping in the McDonald’s for the last two nights, after angering his father. He had also been forced to stand outside his home from 3-11pm as punishment since June. Neighbors say that when they asked why he was standing outside, he only told them that he had forgotten his keys.

Cops Cop Cop

A male police officer is fined $10,000 for attempting to pay a woman to have sex with him. The 40-year-old was on the smartphone app SayHi when he met “Cindy GG,” an undercover cop posing as a girl offering compensated dating. He tried to take her to bed three times last August. The first time, he offered her $1,500 to hang out with him for three hours. When he brought her near a love hotel in Yau Ma Tei, she excused herself. The next day, she said she was on her period. The third time, she accepted his invitation. Thinking the woman was reluctant because of nerves, he comforted her by saying everything would be alright if she closed her eyes. When he tried to take off his clothes, police broke into the room and arrested him.
