Everything You Need to Know About Blohk Party and Interviews with Pharrell and Busy P
Still on a Clockenflap high? Hot on its heels comes Blohk Party. The Saturday festival with a hip-hop bent is curated by none other than rapper-producer Pharrell Williams: check out our pre-show preview for the bands you absolutely have to catch.

LMF
LMF is a pioneer of the local rap scene. Short for “Lazy Mutha Fucka,” LMF is known for the generous doses of Cantonese slang in their profanity-laden, socially conscious lyrics. The group disbanded in 2003, but they reform to perform from time to time. LMF today consists of lead rappers MC Yan, Phat Chan, Kit Leung and Wah, guitarists Jimmy, Davy and Prodip, drummer Kevin and producer DJ Tommy.
Fun fact: Phat and Kit grew up in the same village but didn’t become friends until school.
24Herbs
24 enjoys a respectable presence and steady fan base. Established in 2006, the six-piece first met through friends. They started out as LMF fans, but ended up incorporating a couple of the band’s members: LMF’s Phat and Kit are the chief Cantonese rappers of the group. The rest of 24Herbs are Brandon “Ghost Style” Ho, Brian “Sir-Eats-a-Lot” Siswojo, Conroy “Drunk” Chan and Eddie “Dor Yuk” Chung who serves as a producer.
Fun fact: Brandon’s rapper name “Ghost Style” refers to his westernized ways, thanks to his upbringing in Canada.
Josie and the Uni Boys
Daughter of Macanese gambling magnate Stanley Ho, Josie Ho might be better known as a good-girl-gone-bad type—she took home a Hong Kong Film Award for her role as a prostitute in 2003’s “Naked Ambition”—but she’s also an accomplished singer. Alongside her band, the rocker has released seven albums to date. Expect a poppy, rocky sound that’s perfect for a sun-drenched afternoon.
