The Deal: Delve into some traditional and some less traditional Christmas delights such as herring jelly, seabass, onion tart, crab and shrimp bisque, grilled lamb chops and more, all at the Promenade Restaurant in the Harbour Plaza Metropolis. There will also be a spread of beautifully prepared seafood such as grilled Hokkaido scallops with black truffle butter sauce and oven-baked jumbo Pacific rock oysters with bacon and cheese sauce.

Fun for the Family
The Deal: At Three On Canton, help yourself into western and Asian delights alike, such as roast goose with all the trimmings, glazed bone-in ham, and braised abalone with soy sauce. Also on offer is a scrumptious collection of chilled seafood from the raw bar. Rumor has it that Santa Claus will stop by to say hi to on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Christmas Market
The Deal: Hotel Icon’s The Market will be offering an international lunch buffet including Christmas turkey, honey-glazed ham, Korean bulgogi, samgyeopsal (pork belly), braised snake soup, Spanish-style seafood and lobster paella. For dinner, there’s hamachi and shrimp sashimi, fresh scallops, French duck with liver terrine, Boston lobster and Macanese-style roasted suckling pig.

Fond for Fondue
The Deal: Get Swiss at the Hyatt Regency’s Café, which is offering a Swiss Cheese Fondue dinner from now until Feb 28. Enjoy a country-style, air-dried meat platter, consisting of traditional European treats such as German pickles, gherkins and radishes with smoked salmon rillettes. The set comes with a Zurich-style veal or grilled salmon fillet.

The Choice is Yours

The Deal: The Place at Langham Place will be serving lunch and dinner buffets on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Queue up at the Beef Wellington and Kintoa ham carving stations, or go straight for the Christmas turkey and freshly seared French foie gras. While you’re at it, pop a bottle of champagne to go alongside it. It’s Christmas, after all.

Tropical Temptations
The Deal: It’s too hot and tropical for a full roast dinner, anyway. Put the turkey aside and celebrate this Christmas with authentic Straits cuisine at Café Malacca. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, it’s offering a Malaysian and Singaporean lunch and dinner set. The five-course lunch comes with beef or chicken satay skewers, bak kut teh (pork bone tea) and beef rendang with roti prata. Dinner is eight courses long, and includes Hainanese chicken rice, Penang char koay teow (fried rice noodles) and morning glory fried with shrimp paste and chili.
