	It’s a little-known fact that HK Magazine invented the first personal computer in 1983: the HK IIe. This durable machine had 64KB of memory, and came with an optional external floppy drive. Millions of units were sold over 11 years, transforming home offices and creating the global network of hardware necessary to create the internet. But in a controversial decision in 1994, HK Magazine decided that print media was the future after all, and doubled-down on the magazine business. It sold its computer assets to a little-known Californian company, which went on to mild success.
	 
HKTV: Season 1 Complte VHS Set ($25!)

 

	Now is your chance to snap up these rare VHS tapes of the short-lived HK Magazine sitcom, “HKTV.” Set in the busy offices of HK Magazine, the show tracked the daily travails and office politics of the magazine’s plucky crew. And of course, who could forget the irrepressible Clyde and his famous catchphrase, “Must you BE here???”
	Sadly, “HKTV” was aired in the same timeslot as TVB’s hit show “Enjoy Yourself Tonight,” and it was cancelled after two episodes. However, the spin-off show “Clyde IS Here” went on to multi-season success and an honorary Golden Horse award.
