The Gray Escape
There are certain hues everyone needs in their closet: a crisp white button-up, black trousers or skirt, brown shoes for men and nude shoes for ladies. And girls, let’s not forget an LBD, an LWD… and an LGD too. What? Another essential dress? The newest member to join the “In” crowd are those 50 sexy shades between black and white. We’re not going to go as far as saying that gray is the new black—black will always be black, darling—but this trend has proven its staying power.

I’ve always had a bit of a thing for gray shoes and I became particularly attached to the Rivieras below after spotting them on a certain Hong Kong fashionista’s blog. But beware: I know from experience it’s easy to get hooked—gray accessories are a gateway drug. Move over old-school neutrals beige and brown: these days I’ve got my eye on every shade from misty gray to charcoal for my bags, watches and going-out tops. This is a color to invest in too, since it’ll go perfectly with the upcoming spring pastels.
