1. Pacific Place
Are these the best mall toilets in Hong Kong? Designed by British architect Thomas Heatherwick, the PP toilets enjoy plentiful cubicles, nice solid doors, and automated everything. Oh, and really flattering lighting too, so you can do your makeup in confidence.
2. Watermark
These spruced-up bathrooms are actually open to the public, thanks to the government’s public space laws. Go in and pee at your leisure.
3. Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park
This grassy outdoor area has delightfully clean and modern facilities.
4. Lantau Link Viewing Platform
Recommended to us by president of the Toilet Association Lo Wing-lok in a 2012 interview, this is truly a “five-star toilet,” with a “nice dressing area for girls, plants, and relaxing music playing in the background. The ventilation is excellent and no germs are trapped inside.”
5. Fong Ma Po Public Toilet
Another one recommended by the Toilet Association, this one is near the Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree in Tai Po. The multi-million dollar project is designed like a Chinese-style village house and blends in nicely with the area.
6. Island Shangri-La Lobby
As long as you’re dressed reasonably smartly and don’t take the piss (so to speak), no one’s going to stop you from discreetly using the immaculate restrooms at the Island Shang.
