Down Some Dumplings
Unless you want to drown in remorse, don’t leave Shanghai without eating at least a dozen dumplings. Street stalls are everywhere, but one of the best bets is Yang’s Fry-Dumpling (269 Wujiang Rd., (+86) 21-6136-1391), where you will almost definitely have to wait in line only to be rewarded with pan-fried deliciousness for just a couple of yuan.
Snap a Selfie on the Bund
You can’t pass through Shanghai without paying a visit to The Bund (Zhongshan East Rd.), which is home to elegant European architecture, the sky-high Oriental Pearl Tower and your photogenic cheekbones.
Feel French
The French Concession district (Puxi Central) is très chic. There are tree-lined, cobblestone lanes and lots of upscale bars and restos. Sip coffee and people-watch, shop the antique stores or try on trends at the posh fashion boutiques scattered throughout the neighborhood.
