Freakin’ Narcs A 21-year-old male HKU student is arrested for planting marijuana in his residential hall. Earlier this month, he joined HKU’s roof gardening program and has been growing several plants on the first floor outdoor terrace. Some students suspect that the plants are marijuana and alert the warden. The police confiscate five plants.

Massacre Museum 513 people visit the June 4th Museum, the world’s first museum dedicated to the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre. The Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China, which set up the museum, says that half of the visitors are from the mainland. On the mainland, the museum is referred to as the “535 Museum”—the 35th day of May, meaning June 4—to evade censors.

Divine Spark A temple attendant claims that the gods helped him to catch a thief who had been stealing from the Tin Hau Temple near the Gold Coast. After money was stolen earlier in the month, he prayed to the gods for guidance. Two days later, he saw a man at the temple and experienced a knocking sensation in his head, which he believed to be a sign from the gods. At 10:30pm, he saw the same man stealing from the temple, and called the police.
