The police deny the rumors.

Inspect Gadget The Aviation Security Company reports that four employees have failed an undercover security exam. Last month, the company sent checkers disguised as regular travelers through security, with knives packed inside their carry-on baggage. One knife got past the X-ray machines, and surveillance camera footage showed that the inspector on duty was playing on his mobile phone. The entire team has been punished.

Jury’s Still Out The high court selects the jury for one of the city’s most high-profile corruption trials. The case, which is expected to last until September, involves former Chief Secretary Rafael Hui and the Kwok brothers of property developer Sun Hung Kai. At 11am, 117 potential candidates line up outside the hall. The selection process takes two hours, as a surprising number of candidates say they can’t serve because they need to travel to South Korea. One woman says she has to meet the “handsome man from the Star,” from a popular Korean soap. The judge jokes that he will have to move the court to Korea.
