Sign up for the Hong Kong 24-Hour Pedal Kart Grand Prix
Been working on those quads and looking for an excuse to show off your leg power? Or is driving around town turning you into a sluggish bum? Sign up for this year’s Hong Kong 24-Hour Pedal Kart Grand Prix, the city’s human-powered answer to the Le Mans 24-hour endurance car race.

The event sees competitors from universities, clubs and companies custom-build and race pedal karts around Victoria Park for a whole 24 hours, all in the name of charity. Get a team together and you could take first place.
Speed not your thing? You could enroll in the Formula Fun category, where teams don’t compete for time trophies and can go berserk decorating their karts instead. Karts from previous years have ranged from Mario Kart (surprise!) to Noah’s Ark.
The race is organized by the Hong Kong Round Table, and will take place from November 22-23 in Victoria Park. Entry for corporate teams is $8,000 for the first team and $6,000 for subsequent karts. Educational institutions and charities are charged $4,500 for the first team and $3,000 for subsequent karts. Applications from service providers and F&B operators are also welcome. All proceeds go to charity.
