Cutter Attack A 47-year-old man sees his wife chatting to a male ex-colleague on the MTR platform at Kowloon Tong. Suspicious that they are having an affair, he pulls out a box cutter and attacks the man, chasing him around the station. Other commuters flee the scene, believing him to be on a killing spree. The two men run onto an escalator going the opposite direction and fall to the ground. Two bystanders tackle the attacker and he is arrested.

Fish Toe While on a junk trip with her boyfriend and family in Sai Kung’s Long Ke Wan, a 26-year-old woman finds that her left toe is bleeding and suspects that she has been bitten by a fish. While preparing to seek treatment, she loses consciousness and the family calls emergency services. She later makes a full recovery in the hospital. A marine ecology expert believes that she either came into contact with a poisonous fish, or that she fainted from fear.

Hairy Ordeal “Longhair” Leung Kwok-hung, newly released from his fifth stint in prison, says during an online radio show that he was held in solitary confinement. He says that while in jail, he found time to read Sing Tao Daily from beginning to end, and that he felt better after he was given books and a radio. He tells others not to worry about his hair and jokingly says that people can now interpret his Chinese nickname as “Grow Hair.”
