Big Fat American Thanksgiving
There’s plenty to be thankful for this year, but let’s skip straight to the food. Token American Kate Springer helps you get stuffed this Thanksgiving, November 27.

Abundantly Stuffed
Known for its upscale New Orleans delicacies, Restoration is gearing up for another tryptophan-laced blowout this year: the all-you-can-eat Thanksgiving menu is served family-style, and you can expect classed-up versions of all your favorite staples, albeit with a few twists. Look for the soup with bacon, plus fried turkey, Brussels sprouts with maple syrup and (more) bacon, and homemade onion rolls. Sweet potatoes with marshmallow crust are also on the menu—so you know it’s the real deal.
$598 per person. Available Nov 24-30. 63 Wyndham St., Central, 2536-0183.

DIY Dinner
If you prefer to throw your own pilgrim-themed party, then check out Secret Ingredient’s DIY menu. In order to fit in teeny Hong Kong ovens, its Turkey Ballotine comes de-boned, rolled, and stuffed with sage, parsley and a handful of herbs. The chef promises delicious sides too, including the likes of a crispy green bean salad and roasted sweet potatoes.
$800 for four; $1,600 for eight. Pre-order Nov 3-23; delivery Nov 26-28. 32-34 Tai Ping Shan St., Sheung Wan, 2108-4000, www.secretingredient.com.hk.

The Secret Ingredient? Stuffing!
On the Fly
Cool and casual Carolina-style barbecue resto 85 South is introducing a special smoked turkey for the occasion. The BBQ experts here are using their signature smoking techniques to slow cook (overnight marinade! Hickory wood chips!) each 16-pound turkey, making for one crispy, juicy bird. The best part? It’s available for pick-up all month, so no need to wait around until November 27 to get your fill. Ask about the savory sides too—mac 'n' cheese, mashed potatoes, potato salad and baked bean casserole are all on the menu.
From $1,500 per turkey. Pre-order 48 hours in advance. Available Nov 1-30. 6-10 Kau U Fong, Sheung Wan, 2337-2078.

Glam Gorging
For an extra dollop of indulgence, check out the Grand Hyatt Steakhouse this holiday. The menu’s Thanksgiving specials start off with autumn-themed appetizers—think herb-grilled quail with roasted pumpkin salad ($220) and butternut squash soup ($160). The mains stick to the theme, with a grilled turkey breast and slow-roasted turkey leg dish that comes complete with cornbread stuffing, giblet gravy and cranberry compote ($380). And dessert won’t disappoint—the pumpkin pie ($160) is topped with nutmeg, ginger and maple pecan nut sauce with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.
Dinner available Nov 27. 1 Harbour Rd., Wan Chai, 2584-7722.
