Last Week In Reality
Last week's news in bite-sized chunks.

Sat 15
Occupy Wedding A couple, both strong supporters of the Umbrella Movement, make their formal vows in front of the Guan Yu Temple at Occupy Mong Kok. They kneel down in front of the temple and ask for Guan Yu’s blessing. They then kiss under a canopy of umbrellas. Some Occupiers bring them champagne and a roasted suckling pig.
Sun 16
Letter from The Queen A dog lover writes to the Queen of England about their shared passion for Welsh corgis, and receives a reply from the Queen’s office, written by Her Majesty’s assistant. The Queen says she’s very glad they both adore corgis, but she refuses the dog lover’s request for a autograph, because she only signs for people she knows personally. The Queen attaches a photo of herself instead.

Mon 17
Man in Hole A 51-year-old is walking along Jardine’s Bazaar in Causeway Bay, when the ground underneath him suddenly collapses, creating a 3.8-meter-deep hole. A passerby throws him a rope, but he is too weak to pull himself up. Firemen arrive to rescue him and he is taken to the hospital, where he remains in stable condition with a broken ribcage and multiple wounds. The road collapse is believed to be related to a nearby construction site.
