Chai Yan Leung
Chai Yan Leung is the daughter of Chief Executive CY Leung. Over the last year, her outspoken social media posts have made her a source of considerable controversy. The 23-year-old is currently taking a year out from her law degree to work on creative projects: In her first ever English-language interview, she tells Andrea Lo about reacting to criticism, remembering the good and the bad, and what she wishes she could say to her parents.

I went to primary school at St. Paul's Co-educational College, which bore some of the best and happiest years of my life.
After that, I went to international school for two years, then to boarding school in the UK. It was back in 2004, when I was just a week shy of turning 13.
I was thrown head-first into this extremely British environment. It was a very enclosed boarding school as well—I didn’t have much of a chance to explore other cultures until university.
I picked up the British accent. A lot of people I meet question where I’m from. It’s unintentional, and I’m not trying to be pretentious.
If I had had a local education, I think I might have turned out to be a lot less rebellious, aggressive and vehement—and a lot less trouble for my poor parents.

My Facebook page is a punchbag. To me, they aren't criticisms. They're just insults.
