But rather than showing years-old nature documentaries and cooking shows, we think the station would benefit from some original programming, produced right here in the SAR. Reality show in which ATV picks its new leader via a series of tough challenges designed to weed the pretenders from the true pro-Beijing cadres. In a surprising twist, the panel ends up voting Tyra Banks into the top job.
Keeping up with the Kwoks
Watch the trashy escapades of the glamorous Kwok brothers—sassy Raymond, “good boy” Walter and rebellious Thomas—as they run the largest real estate empire in Hong Kong while balancing fun, friends and having a good time. In this season, Raymond and Thomas find themselves in hot water after a misunderstanding with the ICAC. Meanwhile, a hurt Walter calls a family meeting to ask why he’s been left out of all the drama.
Game of Homes
Fantasy epic in which rival factions of various tycoon families pit themselves against each other to gain ownership of a brand new development on the Peak, “The King’s Landing.” Expect intrigue, skullduggery and more boobs than a meeting of the John Tsang brain trust.
Downtown Cabbie
Period drama that examines the class divide in Hong Kong through the story of a taxi driver and the privileged, out-of-touch passengers he picks up. They think that $80 is a reasonable price to pay for a bottle of Tsingtao! Whatever next?
Rule of Law & Order
Long-running show started in 1997 which began as a straightforward police procedural, but in a David Lynchian twist has become increasingly divorced from any sort of sense as the seasons continue. The series is projected to wrap in 2047.
