Occupy Influenza In a prayer published on its website, the 611 Bread of Life Christian Church in Tsuen Wan blames the seasonal influenza outbreak on Hongkongers who oppose the government and urges its members to repent for their sins to stop the “epidemic.” It also says that the church will obey the government, offering blessings to the administration. The prayer is later taken down from the website.

Family Dinner A 32-year-old man brings his 20-year-old mistress to a family reunion dinner before the Lunar New Year, a meal at which his wife and four-year-old son are also present. After his wife and son retreat to the main bedroom to sleep, the man comes in and demands they move to the other room, because he wants to spend the night with his mistress. The wife heads to the rooftop and threatens to kill herself, and the man sends his mistress and his son to comfort her. Half an hour later, the wife decides to move to safety. She says she cannot divorce her husband because she is not yet eligible for an HKID and would lose custody of her son.
