Broad Strokes
Don’t miss the Women’s Rugby Sevens Finals—it’s the 18th year that Hong Kong has showcased the event, making it the longest-running women’s rugby tournament in the world. Twelve teams from around the globe are competing this year, including Japan, Argentina, Kazakhstan, Samoa and our very own Hong Kong. You can catch the showdown on opening night at the stadium.

It Takes a Village
No tickets? No problem. Just pop by the Sevens Village for live action on a big screen, live music, games and tons of delicious grub from The Butchers Club. Have tickets? Good for you. Grab a bacon roll on the way into the stadium on Saturday and Sunday morning.

Warm Hospitality
If you’re out to impress this Sevens weekend, then the classiest place to be (outside a corporate box) is at the Sevens Hospitality Village, a catered marquee right by the Sevens Village. It’s all buffet meals and giant screens here—plus your entrance also buys you entry into the Louis Roederer after-party.

YRock the Block
The Upper East Concourse of Hong Kong Stadium is home to a mini stage from community platform YRock, and they’re putting on a program of the city’s best indie musicians, including ska/2tone rockers the Red Stripes.

After-Parties
Official Organized Fun
This year, the New Central Harbourfront will be buzzing for the HK Sevens Official Fans Party with top-notch food stalls, live action on a gigantic screen, and lots and lots of booze. A live performance will come courtesy of 70s darlings the Village People, so get practicing now with your best “YMCA” moves.
Suggested costume: Cowboy, Indian, policeman, soldier, construction worker or leather guy. Obviously.

Bender it like Beckham
Fancy-schmancy nightclub Boujis is back with the Weekender Bender, which is pretty self-explanatory. Pound all the Pimms and beers you can, and don’t forget to sample the ridiculously OTT Faboujis Egg cocktail. This weekend it’s served in an ice sculpture in the shape of a rugby ball.
Suggested costume: Kate, Wills and baby.

Bubbles and Balls
Stumble your way over to the Louis Roederer Champagne Tent—a mere rugby ball’s throw away at the Indian Recreation Club. Drinks don’t come cheap, so bring plenty of cash. There’s a prize for the best-dressed person in the house—don’t be that lazy spectator who puts on an “I Heart HK” T-shirt and calls it a day.
Suggested costume: Someone with a bottle of champagne under either arm.

Wan Chai Wandering
Too far gone to be let in to any after-parties? Wan Chai has your back. Make your way down Lockhart Road to check out what each classy establishment on the strip has to offer. Try and keep all the “Heyyyy Baby” yelling to a minimum. Yeah, it was never gonna happen.
Suggested costume: Increasingly less clothing as the night goes on.
