Dozens of Monkeys Descend on Tsz Wan Shan Primary School

About 50 monkeys swarmed the basketball court at the Church of Christ in China Kei Tsz Primary School in Tsz Wan Shan, the Ming Pao Daily reported on Monday.

The wild primates wreaked havoc, witnesses said, flipping over rubbish bins and tearing through the school as they searched for food.

Officials took hours to sway the monkeys away from the school.

One officer successfuly lured a monkey away from the school and into a cage placed in the middle of the basketball court, by dangling fruit. A photo of the caged monkey has since gone viral on Hong Kong's social media.
